We clean awnings with a gentle low-pressure soft wash and the right solution, lifting the grime without stretching, tearing or fading the material.
Fixed metal and polycarbonate awnings get washed down to remove the chalky oxidation and dirt that dulls them, while retractable and fabric awnings are treated with extra care so the material and mechanism aren't damaged.

Yes. Fabric and canvas awnings get a soft wash with the right solution, not high pressure, so mould, bird mess and grime lift away without stretching, fading or tearing the material.
Do you clean metal and polycarbonate awnings too?
We clean fabric, metal, aluminium and polycarbonate awnings, matching the method to each. Metal and poly can take a firmer clean; fabric gets the gentle soft-wash treatment.
Can you clean shade sails and carports?
Yes. Shade sails, carports and patio covers are cleaned with a method that suits the material, soft washing for fabric and a firmer wash for metal and polycarbonate.
Do you clean shopfront awnings without closing the business?
Yes. Shopfront and cafe awnings are cleaned outside trading hours, at a time that suits you, so customers and staff are not disturbed and the footpath is clear by the time you open.
Can you clean the shopfront and entry at the same time?
Yes. The awning, tiled entry, door frames and footpath out front can all be done in one visit and quoted as one fixed price.
Do you offer regular awning cleaning for businesses?
Yes. Shops, cafes and strata buildings can book repeat cleans every six or twelve months, with a fixed price per visit agreed up front.
How often should awnings be cleaned?
Once or twice a year suits most awnings. Awnings under trees, near the coast or near busy roads get dirty faster and may need it more often.
How often should I have this done?
For most Sydney homes, every 12–18 months keeps mould and grime from taking hold, sooner for properties near the coast, under trees, or in damp, shaded spots. On an AW+ plan we track the timing for you so it never gets forgotten.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not necessarily. As long as we can access the areas being cleaned and an outdoor tap, plenty of our residential jobs are done while you're out, we confirm everything beforehand and send photos when it's finished.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, AW Pressure Washing is fully insured, and we're owner-operated, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for the result.
Is the quote really free and fixed?
Yes. Quotes are free and fixed, you'll know the price before we start, with no hourly meter and no surprises on the invoice. A quick text with a couple of photos is usually all we need.
Pressure washing or soft washing: which will you use?
Whichever the surface needs. Hard surfaces like concrete driveways take high pressure; render, roofs, timber and painted surfaces get a low-pressure soft wash. We are trained in both and always match the method to the material.
