Gerni Cleaning in Sydney
Gerni cleaning in Sydney for driveways, paths and brickwork, done properly without damaging the surface.
How does gerni cleaning work?
"Gerni" is the Aussie name for high-pressure water cleaning, the same first-class service as power or pressure washing. AW Pressure Washing is a professional, owner-operated gerni cleaning company serving all of Sydney, blasting away built-up dirt, mould, algae and grime from driveways, paths, patios, brickwork, walls, fences, decking, house exteriors and more.
We run commercial-grade gerni equipment and match the pressure to every surface, so your clean is carried out safely, quickly and effectively, a strong blast where concrete and pavers can take it, and a gentler touch on anything softer.
From residential driveways to commercial premises and strata complexes, we've got the gear and the experience to do it all. As one of Sydney's most trusted owner-operated gerni cleaning teams, we're proud to deliver high-quality results and genuine, personal service. Gurney cleaning, often spelt gerni, is the everyday Aussie term for high-pressure water cleaning, named after the Gerni brand of pressure washer. Most people search it when they want a driveway, path or patio gurney cleaned. The most common jobs are gurney cleaning driveways, brick paving, concrete paths, pool surrounds and retaining walls.

FAQ
Gerni Cleaning, your questions answered
Is gerni cleaning the same as pressure washing?
Yes. “Gerni” is just the common Aussie name for a pressure washer, so gerni cleaning and pressure washing are the same thing. We bring commercial-grade gear that's far more effective than a hire-shop unit.
What can you gerni clean around my property?
Driveways, paths, patios, courtyards, pool surrounds and retaining walls, any hard surface where built-up grime, mould or stains have taken hold. Softer surfaces get a soft wash instead so nothing's damaged.
What does gurney cleaning mean?
Gurney or gerni cleaning is the Aussie name for high-pressure water cleaning, after the Gerni pressure washer brand. It means the same thing as pressure washing or pressure cleaning.
Can you gurney clean a driveway?
Yes. Driveways are the most common gurney cleaning job. We use a flat surface cleaner for an even finish with no stripes, and pre-treat oil and tyre marks.
How often should I have this done?
For most Sydney homes, every 12–18 months keeps mould and grime from taking hold, sooner for properties near the coast, under trees, or in damp, shaded spots. On an AW+ plan we track the timing for you so it never gets forgotten.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not necessarily. As long as we can access the areas being cleaned and an outdoor tap, plenty of our residential jobs are done while you're out, we confirm everything beforehand and send photos when it's finished.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, AW Pressure Washing is fully insured, and we're owner-operated, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for the result.
Is the quote really free and fixed?
Yes. Quotes are free and fixed, you'll know the price before we start, with no hourly meter and no surprises on the invoice. A quick text with a couple of photos is usually all we need.
Pressure washing or soft washing: which will you use?
Whichever the surface needs. Hard surfaces like concrete driveways take high pressure; render, roofs, timber and painted surfaces get a low-pressure soft wash. We are trained in both and always match the method to the material.
